Here what people says about this tool:”I looked at the Tormek and just could not justify the $400 bite for the unit. Nothing else came close, until Grizzly came out with this unit. It runs smooth and does exactly what I want and need it to. It sharpens tools quickly and easily. I have not tried Tormek accessories, but I’ve heard that they will fit this unit…The other man said:”I have tried the Grizzly T10010 with several of the Tormek jigs and can attest that the Tormek square edge jig, trueing tool, long knife jig, and short knife jigs all fit and work on the Grizzly T10010.
Also It sharpens to a hair shaving razor sharp edge, but be warned that you have to dress the grinding wheel to get a flat edge out of the box and this unit doesn’t come with a truing tool.
The motor runs smooth and the unit is heavy enough so it doesn’t walk around on the bench when in use. It does tend to spit water everywhere when sharpening a blade that is wider than the stone so plan for water to drip around it.This is great equipment for the money no doubt.Best price what we can find online is on Amazon.com.

Some of Features of Ws3000
Reliable, Mess-Free Dry Operation
In order to avoid the hassle and mess of expensive wet sharpening systems, this dry system uses routed airflow from the motor and a special heat-sink design to keep your tools from overheating. This means you don’t have to worry about damaging the edge you just created or ruining the temper of steel tools.

- Shipping Weight: 16.3 pounds
- The Work Sharp 3000 comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty and the following accessories:
- 2 tempered float glass wheels, a “see-through” slotted wheel, top tool rest, crepe stick,
- and PSA abrasive kit.
- It has a 110V, 1/5 hp motor, 580 rpm (gear reduced), and weighs 16 lbs.
By many customer reviews this is very efective tool and best alternative to hand sharpening…”It certainly works. It turns out when I’m left to my own devices, or even to the devices many others are successful with. I have a Veritas MKII honing guide, and I can usually get a pretty decent edge with it and waterstones or sandpaper, but it isn’t trivially easy for me and can take a while. The tool gives best results with these grits (120, 400, 1000, 3600), also and with extra fine 6000 grit disk.
Also another satisfied customer said:”The competition is very expensive when you consider the initial cost and then the price of attachments to sharpen different tools. Even some of the manual methods would cost a lot when you figure in the different grades of stones needed to get the best results.
When I first saw the WorkSharp online I was fascinated by it. What a great idea! Being a skeptic though, I figured it was just too good to be true. After seeing some reviews I felt it warranted more looking into.”
Conclusion: This is not super-duper pro sharpening tool but it has great value invested /gained absolutely.Best price what we can find is on Amazon.com.>Go to store< to check it out.
This is extra professional sharpening system. Combining a water-cooled, slow-speed, durable grindstone with an angle guide for precision, the Tormek T-7 Water-Cooled Sharpening System is ideal for professional sharpening applications. The T-7 improves the ease, accuracy, and safety in edge tool sharpening thanks to two innovations: a Square Edge Jig and a Diamond Truing and Dressing Tool. The SE-76 Square Edge Jig automatically aligns the chisel for precision sharpening, and the Diamond Truing and Dressing Tool helps you keep the stone in perfect condition, which is essential for a perfectly sharpened edge.
Wet Grinding Increases Tool Life
The slow-speed, wet grindstone of the Tormek T-7 uses less friction than a dry grinder and won’t remove as much material from the tool during sharpening, giving you a sharp, clean result and a longer-lasting edge. Unlike with dry grinding, you won’t have to worry about burr build-up, overheating, or the need for frequent sharpening.
- Product Dimensions: 15.5 x 15.5 x 11.8 inches ; 37 pounds
- Shipping Weight: 37.3 pounds
- The heart of the T-7 is the Tormek SG-250 10″ x 2″ grinding wheel turning at a slow 90 rpm through water which acts as a lubricant for faster grinding while it continuously cools the tool edge to prevent “bluing” the metal.
- After grinding, the 8-3/4″ x 1-1/4″ genuine leather honing wheel gently removes the burr and hones the edge to razor sharpness.
- The T-7 System also includes the Angle Master, Honing Compound, Stone Grader, Diamond Truing Tool, Square Edge Jig, and Handbook and Instructional DVD.
- Seven-year warranty.
People who use this professional machine for a long time period have only a positive attitude about Tormek T-7.And here same pieces of their testimony:”I’ve been using the Tormek T7 for a full year now, and I can honestly affirm that the Tormek T7 is an absolute Godsend of a sharpening machine. Over the years I have literally spent thousands of dollars on other sharpening systems, and the Tormek T7 is a shining star above all other products I’ve purchased. This little sharpening machine is darn near foolproof once you’ve used it a few times & get a rhythm going in your head. The booklet & DVD that comes with the unit are pretty straight forward with giving you the mechanics of how to sharpen your tools & knives, but Tormek needs to refine those two items for people who are looking for an advanced method of obtaining superior results that will result in tools & knives obtaining a finer edge & how to maintain that fine edge, specifically by using a double edge sharpening method…
Tormek was the most expensive of the sharpeners I considered. However, after reading many reviews, the high initial price appeared justified by its ability to maintain consistent results. Over the years I’ve learned that one is never disappointed by purchasing a “quality” product. In the short time I’ve had it, all my chisels have been resharpened. The process was much easier and more accurate than using the diamond and water stones. I haven’t spent enough time to get the final finish of the water stone, but they’re at least 90% there with much less effort. I can shave my arms with the blades and that’s not too bad…
Simply amazing. I own the T-7 as well as the long and short knife jigs. I use it primarily for sharpening chisels and plane blades, but also use it to sharpen my kitchen knives.
Yes, it is expensive, but I believe it is worth every penny. Economically at the rate at which I use my chisels and plane irons, I would have the machine paid off in about 2 to 3 years compared to a commercial sharpening service.
